Happy Mondays
Bez, Gary Whelan, Mark Day, Paul Davies, Paul Ryder, Rowetta and Shaun Ryder - the original line-up of Happy Mondays - are back together for the first time in over 19 years and will embark on an 11 date UK tour this spring including a massive show at their hometown Manchester Arena. Shaun Ryder said: "We all met up last week and some of the lads haven't seen each other in over 10, 15 years. It's as if we've never been apart - so good to all be in the same room again. We can't wait now to get on tour and play the songs that made us famous".
Happy Mondays were first discovered by the legendary Tony Wilson in the Hacienda and have become synonymous with the Manchester music scene. Since their first album Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) which debuted in 1987, Happy Mondays followed up with the two classic albums Bummed in 1988, then Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches which went on to achieve platinum status in the UK alone. Expect to hear the classic songs Step On, Kinky Afro, Hallelujah, 24 Hour Party People and many, many more. Happy Mondays will be joined by special guests - the newly reformed Inspiral Carpets.

Tower Headland Festival
The Wanted and McFly will headline the first of a series of concerts on Blackpool’s brand new Tower Festival Headland on Sunday 24th June 2012. The joint headliners are the first acts to be announced for this fantastic new music event. The Wanted and McFly are two of Britain’s biggest boybands, with certified gold and double platinum albums respectively. McFly have recently hit the headlines again after members Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd both won reality TV contests, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 respectively. Harry Judd will return to Blackpool after winning the shows final at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The Wanted have been enjoying great chart success and have recently been touring in America. They embark on their first sold out UK Arena tour next month. The Tower Festival Headland is situated opposite Blackpool’s famous tower and will house a spectacular open-air events space for up to 20,000 spectators.

Il Divo
The world's most successful operatic quartet Il Divo return to the Manchester Arena on Friday 13 April. Returning to the Arena following 2009's sensational shows, the international group will be performing tracks from their latest album Wicked Game alongside classics from their first four albums Il Divo, Ancora, Siempre and The Promise. Since forming in 2004, Il Divo - USA's David Miller, France's Sebastien Izambard, Switzerland's Urs Buhler and Spain's Carlos Marin - have sold out three world tours performing to over 2 million fans in 30 countries. Recently named 'Artist of the Decade' at the Classic Brits, Il Divo are the most successful international musical break-out story of the decade, selling more than 25 million albums and inventing the classical crossover genre. The group's new album features a dramatic reworking of the Chris Isaak classic Wicked Game plus a version of Roy Orbison's Crying and a song inspired by Samuel Barber's Adagio For Strings called Dove L'Amore.

Grunge legends Pearl Jam will open their 2012 European tour at the Manchester Arena next summer. Tickets for the Wednesday 20 June Manchester concert, one of only two 2012 UK dates, go on sale at 9.00am Friday 16 December. The Eddie Vedder-fronted five-piece will be performing tracks from their back catalogue including hits from the best-selling albums Vitalogy, No Code, Backspacer, Vs and Ten. One of the key bands of the early 1990's grunge movement, Pearl Jam scored a massive hit with their debut album Ten. Featuring the hit singles Alive, Even Flow and Jeremy, Ten has become one of the highest-selling rock records of all time. Earlier this year the Seattle band celebrated their 20 year anniversary with the release of the Cameron Crowe directed film Pearl Jam Twenty, alongside an accompanying book and soundtrack. Drake
Award-winning rapper and actor Drake will play his first headline Manchester Arena show on Sunday 1 April 2012. Since breaking onto the rap scene in 2006, Drake has become one of the most talked-about artists in the music industry. Following a fierce bidding war, he signed with Universal Motown and released his debut EP, So Far Gone, which peaked at number six on the U.S. Billboard charts and won a 2010 Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year. His debut album Thank Me Later came out last year and was followed by the critically-acclaimed Take Care in November. Drake has collaborated with the Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne as well as writing material for Alicia Keys. Drake originally became known for playing Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Andre Rieu
Andre Rieu - the biggest touring classical artist in the world - returns to the Manchester Arena next December. 'The Waltz King Of Europe' has single-handedly created an international revival in waltz music and has re-energised the classical music genre with his phenomenally successful and extravagant live performances. Rieu's Manchester show will see the Dutch maestro, alongside his Johann Strauss Orchestra, perform works from his hugely popular back catalogue including The Blue Danube, Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet and You'll Never Walk Alone.
Famously conducting his orchestra, choir and soloists with his violin bow, Rieu's onstage charisma and rock star demeanour make his Manchester return one of the musical highlights of 2012.
